Our History and Status
The National Capital Region Rifle Association’s (NCRRA) history is rooted in the National Defence Headquarters Rifle Association (NHQRA), which was founded in 1902 and reorganized after World War II by a small group of dedicated military and civilian shooters.
In 1985, the National Capital Region Rifle Association (NCRRA) was founded and today it is one of the largest shooting groups in Eastern Canada. NCRRA is affiliated with DCRA, which recognizes NCRRA as a body similar to a Provincial Rifle Association.
