The Service Pistol Section is dedicated to handgun shooting using standard issue military and police style service issued handguns. Service Pistol utilizes three different target types with distances ranging from 10 meters to 35 meters. Some members of the Service Pistol Section have competed in the National Service Conditions Championship for 15 or more years and we boast a record number of National Champion Shooters amongst our ranks.
The shooting season is typically the beginning of April to mid-December and rroutinely, the Service Pistol Section shoots Sunday 0900hrs to 1200hrs. The club does not provide equipment and shooters must provide their own firearms and ammunition. As with other Sections, there is a break in September for the Canadian Armed Forces Small Arms Concentration (CAFSAC), as well as the National Target Rifle Matches, pending schedule.
