1987 Don Moore

Don Moore was a member of the NCRRA/DCRA for many decades. He was very active in the target pistol section, and was responsible for starting and holding the Victoria Day Pistol Matches and Fall Invitational Pistol Matches at Connaught from 1983 until his death in 2012.

Following his passing, the Victoria Day matches were renamed in his honour.

Don was a real character, the type who got things done, often with an optimistic disregard for certain rules. That rubbed some people the wrong way, but with a grudging admiration for his accomplishments. He was always cheerful and determined, and had friends witin the shooting community, and the community at large, who miss him still.

The Don Moore Memorial Pistol Matches were held at the Smiths Falls Fish and Game Club and the RA Gun Club (Air Pistol event) on the weekend of June 9-10, 2018.

Results of completed matches are available on the targetscores.com website. A working email address is needed to register.
